About this Blog

Hi! I am Jessica, a 32-year-old enthusiastic mother of 2 wonderful kids aged 9 and 7. I always believe that a healthy life style can be made a reality with a proper workout and eating right. These days, kids love junk food more than they love Broccoli. The main reason for this type of behavior is attributed mainly to advertisements and the impact they have on young, impressionable minds. But as a responsible mother, it is my duty to ensure that the food on their plate is not a caloric firework display, but a well-balanced, nutritious meal. It is because of this, I decided to plant a kitchen garden. Since I planted it two months ago, I’ve harvested bitter melons, chilies, tomatoes, mint, coriander, potatoes, assorted herbs, okra, with eggplant and cauliflower waiting to bloom.

This not only gives me satisfaction of providing my family with good food but also keeps me motivated to keep going with this project as my garden grows. Watering them, fertilizing and maintaining them make me more responsible and have taught me time management. It is because of my own little success story that I urge mothers everywhere to take up home gardening according to her time & space availability. Think of it this way, you don’t need to spend a pretty penny on so-called “organic food” when you can grow it at home for a fraction of the cost! So, read my blog to find out my tips and tricks to get the best out of your kitchen garden! And, if you need to contact me, you can do so here.
